Joan has a growing interest in transforming knowledge and evidence into more accessible and digital formats. for everyday people as well as those in public health. My work engagements have been in NCDs, HIV&AIDS specifically and SRHR more broadly.

This artwork is a poem, adapted from conversations with a young Esan couple having their first baby in Mabushi, Abuja who chose to remain anonymous. This reflects on their experiences in being pregnant during the pandemic. They want to contribute to see improved maternal care despite the current COVID-19 crises, and future disruptions in health.
